When to Take Melonex: Morning, Night or With Food?
When to take Melonex is up to you: the label says one capsule daily with an 8 oz glass of water, up to two, and names no time of day or meal. No study has compared morning with night for these capsules. Pick an hour you will keep.

What time of day should you take Melonex?
The label sets no hour. It says to take one capsule daily with an 8 oz glass of water and allows a second one. Morning and night are both within the directions.
Studies of the single ingredients do not settle it. Exercise trials gave citrulline at least 30 minutes before testing (Trexler 2019, citrulline exercise), which says little about a daily capsule.
| Choice | What the label says | Practical note |
|---|---|---|
| Morning | Allowed, no hour named | Easy to pair with a glass of water and a morning routine |
| Evening | Allowed, no hour named | Suits rushed mornings |
| Two capsules | "May take up to two (2) capsules daily" | Split or together is not specified |
Should you take Melonex with food or on an empty stomach?
The label has no food rule, so either way follows the directions.
Arginine can cause nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea and bloating in some people (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine). If a capsule upsets an empty stomach, trying it with a meal is a low-risk change.

Lasting pain or dizziness is a reason to stop and call your doctor. The side effects page lists warning signs.
How do you keep a steady Melonex routine?
A steady routine means taking the capsule at about the same hour each day. With no best hour printed, regularity matters more than the clock.
- Day 1
Choose an anchor you already do, such as brushing your teeth, and place the bottle there.
- Days 2-7
Take one capsule with a full glass of water. Note the hour.
- Day 30
Look back at your notes and decide whether to continue.
Keep blood pressure and heart drugs on your doctor's schedule. Arginine may add to them, so ask your pharmacist first (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine).
