Melonex Tablet vs Melonex Capsules: Not the Same Thing
A Melonex tablet is a meloxicam tablet, a prescription NSAID used for arthritis pain and stiffness. Melonex capsules are a different thing: a dietary supplement with a citrulline and arginine blend and no meloxicam. We do not sell a tablet. Ask your doctor about any tablet.

How does a Melonex tablet differ from Melonex capsules?
A Melonex tablet is a medicine, and Melonex capsules are a supplement. They share a name and little else.
Meloxicam tablets are prescribed for pain, swelling and stiffness in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis (MedlinePlus, meloxicam). Our capsules make no pain claim. Their label says "Heart Support*" and "Circulation Support*", with the standard FDA statement beside them.
| Meloxicam tablet | Melonex capsules | |
|---|---|---|
| Class | Prescription NSAID | Dietary supplement |
| Main ingredient | Meloxicam | Citrulline and arginine blend |
| Shape | Pressed tablet | Capsule with a plant-cellulose shell |
| Used for | Arthritis symptoms | No disease use |
| Boxed warning | Yes | No; a general caution |
What are the risks of mixing up a tablet and capsules?
The main risk is expecting pain relief from a supplement, or taking a drug without knowing it. They act on different things in the body.
NSAIDs other than aspirin may raise the risk of heart attack or stroke and can cause stomach bleeding (MedlinePlus, meloxicam). A prescribed tablet needs a prescriber who knows your history.
A solid pressed pill is a tablet. A two-part shell is a capsule. If the bottle says Supplement Facts, it is not the drug.
Does Melonex come as a tablet?
No. The supplement comes only as capsules, 60 to a bottle, with the plant-cellulose shell named on the label. The sales page offers 2, 3 or 6 bottles and no other form.

For the full ingredient list, see the supplement facts page. If your doctor gave you a tablet, keep taking prescribed medicine and ask any questions at the pharmacy.

FAQ01
Melonex questions people ask
Is a Melonex tablet safe to take with the capsules?
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before combining anything with a prescription NSAID. Arginine can also interact with several drugs (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine).
Can Melonex capsules ease joint pain like a tablet?
No. The capsules make no pain claim and hold no pain medicine. For joint pain, speak with a doctor.
Why does my pharmacy list a Melonex tablet?
Most likely it is the meloxicam brand sold in some countries. It has no link to the supplement bottle on this site.
