Why does the order of the blend matter?
The order of the blend matters because federal rules list blend parts from most to least by weight, and show only the total (21 CFR 101.36, blends). So citrulline malate is the largest share and arginine HCl the smallest.

Single amounts are hidden, but the order gives ranges per 500 mg capsule. An even split would be about 167 mg each.

The formula sits far below studied doses. Trials of arginine used 4 to 24 g a day (Dong 2011, arginine meta-analysis), and trials of citrulline used 3 to 9 g a day (Barkhidarian 2019, citrulline meta-analysis). Two Melonex capsules hold 1 g of blend. No trial has tested Melonex itself.

Is the Melonex formula the same as a melon extract?
No. Citrulline was first found in watermelon, but the label lists a made citrulline salt, not a melon extract (Aguayo 2021, L-citrulline review).
