How many milligrams is that a day?
That is 500 mg of blend with one capsule and 1,000 mg (1 g) with two. These are weights of the whole blend, which includes the salt partners, so the citrulline and arginine themselves weigh less.

How does the daily dose compare with trials?
The daily dose is much smaller than trial doses. Arginine trials used 4 to 24 g a day (Dong 2011, arginine meta-analysis), and citrulline trials used 3 to 9 g a day (Barkhidarian 2019, citrulline meta-analysis). Even if the whole blend were citrulline, two capsules would reach about a third of the lowest trial dose.

The label says not to exceed the recommended dose, so two capsules is the ceiling. Higher amounts of arginine can bring stomach upset, bloating and diarrhea (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine).
