Do heart health supplements work the same for everyone?
No. Trial results are averages across groups, and your result depends on your starting numbers, your dose and your medicines.
Omega-3 is a good example: a 2014 review found its strongest effects in untreated hypertensive people taking 2 g a day or more of EPA plus DHA (NCCIH, hypertension digest). The same capsule may do little for someone else.

Why can supplement results look better than they are?
Short trials, high doses and glowing stories make results look bigger. Many studies run days or weeks, not years.
